The rise of Phoenix Square

Cardboard city installation by Sally Renner

Last thursday the Dairy attended the opening of one of our client’s projects – a state of the art digital multimedia and living project- Phoenix Square

The place was buzzing with excitement and had over 1000 visitors for its launch. The £21.5 million development – a collaboration between the public and private sectors, boasts brand new cinema screens with the latest digital technologies, cafe bar and 63 individually designed and sustainable new homes and workspaces. We particularly enjoyed watching film clips in 3-D, strolling through the cafe, lush apartments and viewing various art installations ranging from digital imaging by Professor Martin Reiser, performances from The Sancho Plan (see earlier Dairy blog) to a lovely Leicester scale model entirely in cardboard by Sally Renner. We think the mix of digital entertainment, cafe, workspaces and luxurious yet sustainable living will be quickly snapped up!
