on the buses…..

February 3, 2011

well we’ve just about recovered from the cold of Langar airfield this morning where the Nottingham City Transport bus advertisement featuring Nottingham Rugby captain Craig Hammond was unveiled

As Nottingham Rugby’s official marketing partner The Dairy brokered the deal between the rugby club and Nottingham City Transport, with the vehicle already running ahead of this weekend’s Help for Heroes clash vs Worcester Warriors (5.30pm kick off).

Along with Craig Hammond, Nottingham stars Tim Usasz, David Jackson and leading Championship kicker James Arlidge also tried their hand at driving the bus, which will be on the streets of Nottingham for the next 12 months to help promote Green and Whites games at Meadow Lane.

Major Rhodes from the locally-based Mercian Regiment also attended the spectacle ahead of the game which aims to raise money for service personnel injured in Britain’s current conflicts.

Speaking after taking the bus for a spin, Craig Hammond said: “Hopefully this partnership will be mutually beneficial to all parties involved and we can continue to build up the name of the club and encourage more people to come along to Meadow Lane”.

Hope to see you all there this Sunday!
