Kirsty Henshaw and Dragons’ Den

December 9, 2011

Just returned from a great lunch hosted by Nottingham City Business Club.

The packed room was disappointed to hear at the start that the booked speaker – Dragon Hilary Devey was ill – but her last minute replacement Kirsty Henshaw was an absolute cracker!

Kirsty is a young, single mum from Preston who cried her way through her grilling in the Den last year – but was successful in gaining Peter Jones to back her and her product – a brand of ice cream that can be eaten by folks with all sorts of allergies.

She spoke engagingly and simply about her journey over the last two years and advised that a good dollop of common sense was what is needed most to succeed in business.
