Virgin and Customer Service….

Thanks to the University of Nottingham for a fascinating talk last night by Corneel Koster, Director of Operations, Safety and Security, Virgin Atlantic.

This was the latest in their ‘Business Leaders Series’ which always attracts great speakers and a good crowd.

Corneel took us through a very logical approach to customer service and their predictions for the years to come against a backdrop of 5 major challenges – not least the ¬£1bn fuel bill which has increased by 673% in the last 10 years….!

Safety and security is at the heart of everything they do – whilst all staff have to remember the Branson mantra that work should be fun!

Makes me feel much happier about taking my family to New York with Virgin this summer!
