Lights with Appetites

Take a look at Taxi, a marketing agency based in Toronto, their idea for promoting the ‘The Secret World of Sharks and Rays’ exhibition for the Vancouver Aquarium has caused a few head turns!

They aimed to translate the interesting weird facts about the deep-sea creatures and draw attention to the new exhibition. They brought to life an ordinary streetlight and transformed it into anglerfish, which attracted passers by.

This hasn’t been the first time streetlights in Vancouver have been used for a marketing ploy. A few years ago, McDonalds used a streetlight to effectively send out the message about a free coffee promotion by transforming the streetlight into an oversized coffee pot and cup.
